Yoga at The Space

By October 22, 2015 No Comments

Raglan’s newest Yoga Studio has been created by The Cat Cow Yoga Collective. The Collective is made up of six local instructors whose aim is to foster community and connection through yoga and bodywork, in a safe space for all.

Accessibility of yoga is very important to the instructors. They provide around 18 yoga classes at The Space each week to insure the community has multiple opportunities to get involved.

The instructors have different training backgrounds, bringing various styles into The Space and providing something for everyone. They have been teaching classes separately around town for a while–coming together in one Space has created a support and focused vision for The Collective. And it is helping them to develop Raglan as a wellbeing destination.

Instructors at The Space include:
Jocelyn Stewart – Power Yoga
Bexie Towle – Yin/Yang & Beginners
Shannon Darbyshire – Hatha & Massage Therapy
Dee Lilly – Astanga
Sheridan Gray – Gentle Yoga
Patti Mitchley – Broga & Flow

The Space also hosts monthly workshops and private sessions to help develop your practice further. For more information and the current weekly schedule, visit them on Facebook at facebook.com/thespaceraglan or email thespaceraglan@gmail.com.

Take advantage of their opening special: ‘All You Can Eat’ for one month, $120 (ends 31 October) or 1 week is just $35 for new members only. Concession cards also available ($10 per class), or $12-$18 to drop in depending on the class/instructor. It is located at 9A Bow Street (above the Yot Club), access via Volcom Lane. The Space is an accessible, safe, community spirited place to practice yoga.
