Let’s all do Bad Things

Bad Things is currently available online only through their web store: http://www.badthingsapparel.com/

New drop available now.

S lash and Frank Ferrer, members of iconic rock n’ roll band Guns N’ Roses, have been spotted wearing gear from Raglan-based clothing label Bad Things during the South American leg of the bands’ Not in This Lifetime tour.

Slash is seen in a promotional video for the band wearing the Bad Apple muscle tank in the OG colourway and Frank wears the Logo Cap in red, which can be seen on his Instagram account.

Label directors – who are huge fans – are loving the endorsement from their idols.

“I’m the biggest Slash fan and have been since I was 13,” said designer Mala Brajkovic. “He’s influenced the way I dress and the music I’m into for as long as I can remember. Seeing Frank and Slash in Bad Things on stage was a massive fan geek moment for me!”

Bad Things was launched by New Zealand designer Mala Brajkovic with her partner and model Vinnie Woolston (currently the face of YSL fragrance La Nuit de l’Homme) and fellow creative director Maki Nishiyama.

Fans of Mala’s previous eponymous label, worn by the likes of Kim Gordon and Juliette Lewis, mourned her departure when she closed up shop in 2008. Mala’s new art-driven brand, Bad Things launched in 2014 with comic-gore and heavy metal influenced graphics.

The brand has collaborated with iconic Santa Cruz Skateboards artist Jimbo Phillips as well as Australian metal artists Glenn Smith, who produced the ‘Bad Apple’ print worn by Slash and Bridge Stehli, the creator of the super rad Smokemon project reimagining cigarette packs with mashups of cute animals with rap and heavy metal art, who has also collaborated with the brand.
