News from West Coast Health Clinic

Christmas is fast approaching so we would like to remind patients to include ordering repeat prescriptions and booking essential doctor appointments on their Christmas checklist.

Patients can contact the clinic to order repeat scripts via email, nurse@westcoasthealth.co.nz, or by leaving a detailed message on the nurse answer phone. Be sure to clearly state your full name, telephone number and the list of medications that you need. Please be mindful that prescriptions take at least 24 working hours to process.

This Christmas we will be working with the Raglan House to help make a difference to families experiencing hardship by proving a financial donation for food hampers. A collection point for community donations of non-perishable food items/tinned food and children’s toys/gifts will be set up at our reception and with your help we can all make a difference.

Dr Jennifer Hughes will be leaving the clinic in a few weeks and moving to Taranaki where her husband has been given a consultant post in anaesthetics. She will be missed by colleagues and patients alike, and has been working hard to ensure her patients are handed over to other wonderful doctors in our team for their ongoing care. We’ve been very lucky to have her working with us for the last four years and we wish Jen and her family all the best for their future.
