Locals and holiday-makers alike have the chance to experience Paul Madsen’s nationally acclaimed tribute band, returning by popular demand to The Raglan Club this Anniversary Weekend.
First up on Friday 23rd we’ll be treated to The BeeGees and ‘The Jersey Boys’. The phenomenal success of the global stage show of the same name led Paul and fellow band members Paul Jeffries and Ronnie McGowan recently to put together their own show featuring the songs of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.
“During the show I’ll be spinning the yarns and tales of the rise to fame of The Four Seasons with the New York accent and plenty of Mafia overtones,” says Paul.
That same night The BeeGees will grace the stage belting out song after song of the tunes that have captivated generations around the world.
Then on Saturday 24th The Eagles NZ show, a tribute to Americas most popular Country Rock Band will perform followed by Queen. Kick-back, dance, sing-along and enjoy the sweeping melodic harmonies topped off with The Eagles’ raw edge guitar before Freddie Mercury steps up on stage in all his glory.
Those lucky enough to be at the club the last time Paul’s band performed their Queen tribute will remember what an intense and amazing show that was.
“This show is one of the most popular we do. It’s regularly fully booked out wherever we perform and we’re excited about returning to Raglan and to the great energy of the crowd.
On our last visit here we were lucky enough to get out fishing and caught an amazing snapper then the chef at the club’s restaurant cooked it for us. It topped off a great time in Raglan and the place has special memories for us.”
