Bare hands used to catch kingfish

It started with one man and a dog chasing a big fish in the shallows. They were joined by three others who were attending a family function on Cliff Street and just couldn’t miss out on the fun, good clothes and all. The hunt was on.

After multiple attempts…success at last. One man pounced, quickly joined by two others, and the dog.
The four victorious hunters with a 24.5 kg yellow tail kingfish. No fishing rods involved. What a way to spend a Sunday afternoon in Raglan. The fact is this could only happen in Raglan.
