The Bow Street Depot is bringing that good ol’ Texas BBQ to the streets of Raglan this summer.

Prepare to get your fix of that southern style goodness done with a Bow Street contemporary twist.

Due to the high demand, Bow Street will be serving ribs every night. Smoked over Jim Beam barrel wood chips, these babies fall right off the bone. Fans of pork can get their fix with the Pulled Pork Hot Dawg or the Pork Belly “Porchetta”, stuffed with rosemary garlic, Italian parsley and black pepper.

Dive into a plate of chicken wings… we dare you to try that ‘Spicy Buffalo Glaze’ with ‘em, or opt for some greens with the Chicken Salad. But be sure to order the Mac & Cheese, a bit of slaw and most definitely the corn on the cob to finish up your Southern Style meal in true fashion.

If you’re looking for a lighter meal, try out the Fish Burger, the Prawn Salad or the ever-popular vegan option, the Orange and Peanut Falafel is sure to please.

The Bow Street team is happy to bring better value to their customers, with quality tastes at affordable rates. Not to mention the ‘Monday Club’, which will give you a burger and beer for $20. Plus there’s the perfect ‘Little People’s Menu’ and a sandy play pit to keep them entertained.

And coming soon to Bow Street Depot: The Bow Street Deli, which will offer artisan sandwiches, contemporary pies and deli bites. Open for daytime service, the deli will provide convenient food done well. Keep an eye on their space for more.

Peter Hohenberger – The Glass Artist:

What fascinated me most in high school was art, particularly Art Noveau with all those intricate flowing, flowery, complicated designs.

When I migrated to New Zealand in 1996, after a professional career in software and high-tech IT in Europe, I set up “La Fleur bleue”, a glass studio dedicated to the art of L.C Tiffany. For many years I created beautiful lamps, mirrors and windows, reflecting the work of Mr Tiffany and introducing my own designs.

Ten years ago I watched a glass artist in Venice working at the torch, melting glass, creating three-dimensional objects, and I was hooked. Since then, I started HeartBeads, making handmade glass objects and jewellery completed with sterling silver. Everything is created in Raglan, New Zealand.

What I do

I concentrate on glass objects, beads and jewellery, created from my own work. My inspirations come from simply looking out of the window at Moonlight Bay – the colours of Aotearoa, the light and the ever- changing wonders of nature.

How I do it

My raw glass comes from Murano, an island near Venice, Italy. Working on a glass artist’s torch (running on LPG and oxygen) I melt this glass into different shapes and structures, giving colours with different transparent and opaque glass. Techniques like raking, swirling, dots help me to shape every single glass object into something totally unique. There will never be two the same.
