Herbal Dispensary a top shop

Raglan’s Herbal Dispensary has just been named a regional finalist in the 2010 Top Shop Retail Excellence Awards – making it one of the best retailers in the Waikato.
The Wallis Street shop and clinic, which sells a wide variety of natural and organic products including herbal medicines, skincare products, produce and gourmet food, has been a popular Raglan shop for 12 years. Now the store’s appeal has been recognised on an official level, scoring 94 percent in the mystery shop part of the retail competition. The average score of all nominated shops in the awards was just 87 percent.
Owner Bronwyn Lowe is thrilled by the news. “We’re doing pretty well,” she says. “We got 100 percent on everything except offering additional products (to the mystery shopper).”
The shop and its staff were assessed on presentation and ambience, selling and customer services, efficiency of the transaction and overall customer satisfaction. “Our focus is always on the customer,” says Bronwyn, who has recently moved the store into new premises and expanded the product range.
She will be mystery shopped again before judging closes on 1 October.
