Raglan band Hand Me Downs and Marten ten Broek played to a packed out crowd at Vinnie’s last night.
Formed in January of this year the Hand Me Downs are Lucy Cioffi (lyrics/vocals/guitar) Dougal Greer (guitar/banjo) and Dion Chappell (percussion/guitar). They were joined on stage by Raglan guest musician Reg Valente (double bass) and Hamilton fiddle player, Mary Axon. Their unique style, which ranges from brit folk to acoustic punk, was a hit with the local crowd. Listen out for track “Karioi” on TractorFM.
Marten ten Broek plays wild music ranging from soppy love songs, dirty confessions and stirring murder tales. If you missed this performance check out his myspace page..
