NZ Music Month at the Yot Club

May is New Zealand music month The Yot Club is right behind it as ever with some of the country’s best bands, Raglan’s finest and one of Japan’s most infamous outfits too!

This Friday brings Auckland punk rockers The DHDFDs to town along with Japanese legends in the making the Vottones. The last gig involving The DHDFDs was one forever etched in Yot Club folklore, the one where fellow Japanese rockers The King Brothers ripped the Yot a new one. Expect more of the same this Friday  from these two super high energy Punk rock outfits.

This Saturday brings another Raglan favourite Surrey Boudit to town. This super sharp Auckland eight piece bring their Ska/Rocksteady/Reggae to the Yot again. Expect another epic sold out show.

Friday the 20th brings Wellington band Tunes of I and Dunedin band Summer thieves to town. Two bands who have played several times at the Yot. Fresh off touring with the mighty Sticky Fingers, this will be another quality gig.

Saturday the 21st sees the return of Raglan’s favourite funk/soul outfit Mighty Mighty with support from DJ B Rex. Expect a night of epic funk, soul and groove.

The weekend of the 27th/28th sees local legends and Kiwi reggae kingpins Cornerstone Roots to the Yot. Keep your eyes out for posters detailing which date but as always this will be a killer gig.

Upcoming gigs in June include: Rootz Konekt and guests June 4. Auckland punks, FireShark on Saturday the 18th June, and Tiki Taane on Friday the 24th June.
