Raglan Dance Teacher to perform in American Modernist Garden performances.

Local Raglan dance teacher and creator of Whaingaroa Youth Movement, Patti Mitchley, is performing in five fun, free performances created specifically for the American Modernist Garden by Karen Barbour, with Marie Hermo Jensen. This exquisite event compliments the aesthetic of the garden design, creating a visual spectacle to engage and delight audiences. The performance draws inspiration from the simplicity of the garden’s modernist design and the everyday aspects of summer living in the back yard. Listen to something cool, dream a little dream and take five to relax back by the pool.

Performed by three experienced contemporary dancers, Simplicity is an accessible dance event for everyone. This years’ performances follow previous successful festival performances of Dancing through paradise (2010), What love can do (2008), Fluid echoes dance (2007) and Home, land and sea (2006). If you haven’t been to the Hamilton Gardens Arts Festival, or if you haven’t seen dance performance before, this is a great way to start!

Bring sunglasses and a hat. Everyone is welcome. Please arrive promptly to ensure you get a seat.
