Rock-it
Just when you thought the iconic Rock-it Kitchen on the way to the beach couldn’t get any better, there is a new addition to their establishment.
Sarah Kay, owner of Rock-it, now introduces The Green Room – a multifunctional room to add to her eatery.
This new space is to cater for functions and overflow from the cafe, says Sarah.
‘It’s something I’ve wanted to offer for a long time as it’s great for groups to have their own space and a sense of privacy for special occasions. It’s spacious but intimate and perfect for celebrations, meetings and gatherings’.
The chic rustic decor of the new room goes with the relaxed vibe of the converted woolshed and artist studio. It opens out onto it’s own deck area taking in the picturesque views of the surrounding area.
In 3 years we have seen Rock-it begin as a coffee kiosk and evolve to a 7 days a week cafe operation with renowned evening dining in the weekends. Rock-it continues to deliver delicious coffee and food throughout the day and offers a unique out of town setting with an extensive outside area.
Especially good for families, Rock-it allows everyone to relax, including your beloved pet.
The menu features local fresh produce. Kumara hash cakes with wilted spinach, bacon and poached eggs is a breakfast favourite. In the evening Confit Duck Asian salad and NZ lamb feature on the menu.
Rock-it Kitchen is well known for hosting it’s famous New Years eve shindig, with a limited guest list and great line up of DJs. Visit their facebook page for details.
