Raglan eco-resort Solscape is firmly on the tourist radar. The growing popularity for eco-friendly holiday accommodation saw bookings rise by 60% last winter. The resort, which offers a range of different accommodation options, was featured last week in the New Zealand Herald.
Solscape offers accommodation for backpackers and campers. You can also choose to stay in one of the new eco-baches or in a self-contained cottage.
The resort offers a range of eco conscious facilities including solar powered lighting, solar heated indoor-outdoor showers and composting toilets. Seventy five per cent of waste is diverted from landfill.
