Kiwi songstress Anika Moa returns to Raglan on Saturday 6 November, as part of a 21 date national tour. And you could win tickets to see her perform live.
Performing songs from her new album “Love In Motion” and of course her extensive back catalogue, Anika’s love for touring Aotearoa and meeting people, not to mention sampling local wine and cuisine is infectious. She is sure to charm audiences far and wide with her heartfelt songs, razor sharp wit and a passion for performing live.
Anika was recently nominated as a finalist in this year’s New Zealand Music Awards for Best Female Solo Artist, Album Of The Year and Best Pop Album. Her fourth album “Love In Motion’ was released locally in April of this year and sees an Australian release in September through EMI. In addition Anika’s track Running Through The Fire has been nominated as a finalist in the 2010 Apra Silver Scrolls — her second Silver Scroll nomination
Anika kicks off this tour in Auckland at the Mangere Art’s Centre NgÄ Tohu o Uenuku on 21October. The 21 date tour will take her to all corners of New Zealand before she plays her final date in Wellington at the Ruby Lounge on Saturday 4th December. West Coast singer songwriter Mel Parsons will join Anika for all dates on the tour. Her album “Over My Shoulder” was released last year through Border Music.
So watch out for a Mazda with guitars hanging out the windows and souvenir flags waving on the aerial – proof that Anika has arrived in town.
